I am Rin Tazumi from the village hidden in the sand, but got transferred to the leaf village along with some of my friends. My father and mother were killed in an attack on the village long ago leaving me on my own. I grew up and became one of the strongest ninja in my village and the fastest. “Wake up Rin!” I heard my room mate yell “huh?” I mumbled from under my warm blankets “were going to be late again, and I heard we have a new team member!” she yelled from the other room “fine” I said getting up and dragging myself to my closet which was a disaster and grabbing my ninja cloths and changing into them. My room mate is Tamari my best friend, we grew up together and share an apartment. I sluggishly put my two katannas and strapped them on my back and walked into the kitchen finding Tamari with a bowl of ramen. “you ready” she asked chugging down the last bit of her ramen and burping “hehe nice” I said “opps” she said trying not to bust out laughing, “yeah one sec” I answered brushing my hair and pulling it over my sand village head band. Tamari and I walked down the crowded streets in silence listening to the morning on our way to meet our team at the Hot Springs Bridge when we finally reached it we found Ino and Kiba and some cute guy leaning against the pole with black hair in a spiky tail with piercings. Tamari and Ino started talking so I walked over the welcome the new member “hey I’m Rin Tazumi what’s your name?” I asked trying to sound confident the boy stood up looking around before spotting me he looked me over and had this irresistible smile that sent shivers down my spine “hi I’m Nara Shikamaru but friends just call me Shikamaru” he said in a relaxed voice as he walked over to me. He looked into my eyes making me weak at the knees he had dark brown eyes that shimmered in the Sun. “so how old are you?” he asked gently, making warm blood rush to my face “u-uh hehe I’m sixteen” I answered with him still holding my eyes from me looking away even though I really didn’t want to look away. “So you want to maybe go get some Ramen after our lesson?” he asked pleadingly, “well actually I’m supposed to go hiking with Tamari and Ino” I answered trying not to hurt his feelings “oh that’s cool –“he got cut off by Tamari “actually he can come if he wants” she said, excitement and fear rose in me which felt weird “okay sounds like fun” he said looking back down at me with that smile making my face turn a tint red again. “I’m sixteen in half by the way” he said grinning I nodded slightly in return. Why do I feel like this, why is my heart beating a thousand beats per second and why do I have butterflies in my stomach every time he speaks, is this love? IV never felt this way before. “Okay today will be your advanced chakra class” Master Asuma said with his rough tone voice I turned and then felt warmth from off something I turned my head seeing how close Shikamaru was standing next to me.
